2. Where are you located?
Our office and manufacturing facility is in South Bend / Mishawaka, Indiana
3. How long does it take to build a custom food truck?
Custom builds typically take 6-10 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project.
The Build Process
4. What are the steps in the Overhill process?
Our process includes:
Discovery Call or In-Person Meeting: Discussing your concept and needs.
Initial Quote: Providing transparent pricing based on your requirements.
Video Call or In-Person Meeting: Review your layout, quote and questions.
Down Payment: Securing your spot in our manufacturing line and/or Securing Vehicle. Each build is unique and each down payment will vary but will be a percentage of the total quote.
Checklist Form: Finalizing equipment and layout preferences.
Design Video Call: Confirming all details before production.
Pre-Build Approval: Signing off on the final plan.
Post-Build Walkthrough: Familiarize you with your completed vehicle.
Ongoing Support: Offering training and resources to ensure smooth operations.
5. How do I start the process?
Schedule a Discovery Call with our team and fill out a New Customer Form to gather initial details.
Pricing and Payments
6. How is pricing determined?
Pricing is based on your needs, vehicle type/year and equipment, among other variables. An initial quote is provided after the Discovery Call.
7. What is the average cost of a custom build?
On average, our standard food truck (18ft Kitchen Space) is between $80,000 - $95,000 with a used step van chassis. Expect to pay beyond $100K+ for a new chassis. Again, many variables to consider.
8. What is the payment process?
A down payment is required to secure your spot in our production line and at times securing the vehicle. Additional payments are outlined in your quote and contract.
9. Do you offer financing?
We partnered with three banks. One bank works with startups while the other two prefer our customers to have an established business with two years of tax returns.

9. What kind of support do you provide after delivery?
We offer:
In-person training.
Instructional videos.
Maintenance documents.
Monthly maintenance services.

10. Do you help with inspections and compliance?
Yes, we provide Blueprints, equipment lists, and fire suppression installation details to streamline health inspections and compliance.

We specialize in custom-building and fabricating vehicles tailored to any industry. Our expert team will ensure your vehicle is not only highly functional and efficient but also perfectly aligned with your brand's unique vision and needs.
12. Do you offer designs for other mobile businesses besides food trucks?
Yes, we also build mobile vehicles for other industries, including coffee carts, beer trucks, barber shops, mobile gyms and more.

14. How do you handle customer communication during the process?
Our team is always available via email, call or text. We always enjoy getting to know our customers in-person or via video communication for the first few meetings but realize each customer is different.
